Below are three sections where you can enter ranks in a skill and a subskill, along with it's difficulty rating, and be told what the resultant rank bonus is. You are only required to fill in one of the sections for it to work, but you may use more than one at a time if you wish to compare them.
The resultant rank bonus will be the maximum rank bonus possible at that rank. Non-combat skills always use the maximum rank bonus available, but with combat skills it depends upon your stance. In a defensive stance, your defensive maneuvers will receive 100% of their possible rank bonus while your offensive moves will receive 0%, in a berserk stance your offensive moves will have 100% and your defense will have 0%. The wary, normal and aggressive stances mark quarter steps between the two extremes. Ajusting the stance, and selecting whether the move is an attack or a defense will allow you to discover what rank bonuses you will receive in different stances.
